The Professional Walleye Trail (PWT) will make Sault Ste. Marie the third stop in the 2008 regular season. The Optima/Berkley Pro-Am will take place on September 11 - 13 as the walleye wizards of the PWT attempt to discover the magic to catching the walleyes of the St. Mary's River.

MINNEAPOLIS - Tune in Sunday, September 7, to "FLW Outdoors" on FSN for the conclusion of the $1.5 million Chevy Open on the Detroit River, Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair in Detroit, Michigan. Watch as FSN takes viewers through the final weigh-in and awards the winning pro angler $200,000. The one-hour show is the second of a two-part series covering the sixth and final regular-season tournament of the $9.5 million FLW Tour season.

SMYRNA, Tennessee - The Music City Division of the $8.8 million Walmart Bass Fishing LeagueŽ will visit Percy Priest Lake in Smyrna, Tenn., September 13-14 for its final regular-season event. As many as 200 boaters and 200 co-anglers are expected to compete in the tournament, which will award as much as $67,500 in cash, including a top award of $9,000 in the Boater Division.

BASS announced yesterday the organization will discontinue the operation of the BASS Club World Championship, in order to increase focus on its grassroots efforts including the BASS Federation Nation Divisionals, the BASS Federation Nation Championship and the Bassmaster Opens.
Fishing Tournament Applications Due Sept. 26 to Receive Preference

People who plan to conduct a Minnesota fishing tournament will be given preference if the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) receives their application by Sept. 26 or the tournament was established before 2001 on a particular body of water.
