Fish Habitat Benefits From More Than $3 Million in Funding

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will provide more than $3.3 million to support 68 fish habitat projects in 36 states across the nation under the National Fish Habitat Action Plan (NFHAP). An additional $9.9 million in partner contributions, over $13.2 million in total, will go toward restoring and enhancing stream, lake and coastal habitat, as well as to improving recreational fishing and helping endangered species.
Sportfishing Industry and Anglers United With One Voice

Las Vegas, NV - July 14, 2010 - Today the American Sportfishing Association (ASA) launched a renewed effort to unite the sportfishing industry and the country's 60 million anglers with one united voice to keep our nation's public waters open, clean and abundant with fish. The announcement was made during the sportfishing industry's 53rd International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades (ICAST). ICAST, produced by ASA, the trade association representing the sportfishing industry, annually hosts 7,000 representatives of the global sportfishing industry. ICAST 2010 is being held July 14-16, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. — Magazines are still the media source of choice for hunters and anglers, according to the June 2010 HunterSurvey.com and AnglerSurvey.com polls, which showed 44 percent of hunters and 33 percent of anglers use magazines most for information and entertainment.

ALBION - Anglers looking for new fishing opportunities may want to try bluegill and bass fishing at Muncie and Williams lakes off County Road in 250W in southwestern Noble County.
Both lakes are now accessible at a newly constructed boat ramp located on the west side of 46-acre Williams Lake. A short channel connects it to 47-acre Muncie Lake, located upstream.
